Letting Life Lead
Amazing! Thank you to you all!
This is unbelievable to me because it has only been thirty days since I revived this blog. I appreciate each and every person who has stopped by to read, browse, and click like. I have been watching my stats (something I never did before) and I noticed how diverse my readership is, and I have an equally diverse list that I follow. It was overwhelming at first trying to make sense of how to balance content with reading other blogs, but I find that I am recognizing regulars in my blog feed. My most popular posts seem to be the feature on my cousin, crazy cookery and mad crafts, but also my free writing.
Today I also reached 500 likes and I almost choked on my coffee.
My first blog, as some of you know, is five years old and I never got to see numbers like these (partly because of an issue of not understanding tagging and not showing up in the feeds because it was flagged as spam). You all are reading my new stuff and coming back! I’m as pleased as a dung beetle in cow pasture.
When I revived this blog I decided to do things I normally wouldn’t have done, explored topics out loud that I normally keep to myself, and I ventured into self-promotion (which is a very difficult thing for this brand of Introvert to do). I am not new to breaking rules and doing what I please in a silent rebellion. I have truly enjoyed blogging the way I please and taking chances. I am engaging more and following people who have intrigued me or made my blog feed more beautiful or who have shared something I didn’t necessarily like but they wrote it thoughtfully. I am writing again, and even feeling like I might actually create something publishable.
I am excited to write more and I am not longer hesitant about pushing that publish button as many times as I want if the notion hits me.
