If granted a moment in time
To do over things of regret
It would never be for what was
Tried and failed, lost or won.

It would be for all the pieces
Of a year of nothing special
Of when opportunity knocked,
went unheard; nothing done.

If granted a moment in life
To speak with the former of me
I’d say, “Live not exist! Make
Waves; make a commotion.

It is not that the bad choices
Aren’t  worthy of the correction
They are movements forward a
Bad step, better than none.

If a decision brought its pain
then that is a risk that I took
When I chose to take a step then
Afraid; taking action

It is the choices of the past
That have brought me to where I stand
Nothing gained from standing still, so
Change life; change reaction.
