Letting Life Lead

That’s Totally Random #5: Ballad of Bilbo Baggins as Sung By Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek’s Mr. Spock)

It gets to be very sobering when you get to a certain age and the people around you begin to die.    People die every day, but there is a point where you begin to notice that the young faces on the TV and in old pictures have aged.    Family members pass and you begin to notice more of the sad, tragic deaths.     Today, I went on Twitter really quick and saw that Leonard Nimoy was trending and that could only mean two things:  a new movie or he died.     Normally, I wouldn’t talk about a celebrity death, but it just so happened I was just looking up old Star Trek photos yesterday for images of Mr. Spock.

The following is a video that I came across one lonely New Year’s Eve.  It is definitely not a flattering one of Mr. Nimoy, but to me it speaks to his sense of humor and nature.   If we are to remember someone, I would rather remember them with a grin and eye roll.
