Step 1: Old drab play doh, black tempera powder, glitter (silver pictured)

Step 2: Mix paint powder with water. 1 teaspoon used here in 1:1 ratio. The dough was pretty dry.

Step 3: Mix in color to desired shade of gray to black. Color may darken a little over time. Mix well with hands, or put in a plastic sandwich bag to mix if desired.

Step 4: If dough is still too dry add a few drops of water at a time. This will also help blend the color better. Add glitter if desired; prepare for some mess by working over a sink or newspaper.

Step 5: Mix well, adding water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Step 6: Never buy black play-doh again!
