Rule of Four
3-15-2015 TLD

I can guide to two and two is four
but pupils you can show me more
are there other ways to see the score?

One and one and one and one is true
But that is not all that you can do
Instead of add, can you do two few?

Three minus the one yes that’s great!
What more ways can we contemplate?
Of course, right,  four minus the eight!

I see some showing four in art
Our ways of seeing sets us apart
Learn from both your head and your heart

Think it, draw it, write it, sing it
Remember it the way you see fit
Talk it out, work it out, and plan it

Learning is much more than rote and drills
A teacher can point you to the skills;
It is you who must do as you will.
