Letting Life Lead

Yeah Write #23: Poker Face (#flashfiction)

“Raise.  Organic Milk — $1.00 off — doubles on Mondays.”

“Damn.  I’m out.”

“Me too.”

“Bullshit. Call.”  A $3.00 Kaas gourmet cheese coupon floats upon the poker pot.  A collective gasp erupts.

“Is it?”

The hand reveals not.

“I’ve been robbed!”

“Doubles — your kryptonite.”

“Kaas gourmet cheese coupon floats upon the poker pot” – Was that worth nothing?! I would have taken it. 🙂
