The wind has been out of my sails, I admit it. I have been editing those short stories in my book collection based on feedback from beta readers, and it’s a difficult process. Some of the stories I haven’t written or read in a while and it has been a challenge getting into character heads again to keep the voice and flavor.
I’d hoped to have it ready for CreateSpace in January, but I don’t think I am going to make it by then. I also still have to decide on Copy Editing. I know, I know I should pay someone to do it, but services ain’t free. I’ve done as much as I can, but those damn commas slip by me even when I am hunting for them. Stupid, jerk commas. A compromise I am considering is to have a freelancer copy edit the longest stories. That should cut the cost in half. I know, know. But chaching.
There it is.
Biting my nails with a worried furrow engraved in my forehead.
