Letting Life Lead

Yeah Write #7: The Chance Not Taken (Microstory #242)

change
Shift over!  Catch that bus!   Two telephone workers–one fresh in his twenties–on the job.  My nineteen-year-old stomach flitters, my change falls, he picks up the rollers.  Was that smile a signal?   I think not and walk a mile of regret.

Oh those stomach flutters and regrets over missed opportunities…
I know them both so well! 🙂

The kind of thing characters in books and movies get yelled at for. Lol. No! What are you doing! Say something you fool! Why are you walking away! Gah!

Interesting – a couple of these are about regret this week – but very different stories!

Yeah, those situations stay with you for a bit, and you get to think about them when you’re sitting at home on a Saturday with your cats. Not that that ever happened to me. *cough*

Hahaha 🙂 It’s weird how some things stay in your memory like a vivid snapshot.

Not catching the bus because of crossed signals, perhaps? Having been a bus rider without a car for a year – that would be the greatest regret!
