Thanks! I hemmed and hawed over it wondering if it was too vague, but moss is kind of velvet and the velvet on deer is very specifically a spring thing…so… I stuck with it 🙂

For some reason, I always feel like I’m intruding when I stumble into a place where I know a deer has been.

I tend to feel more of “how did this happen without me noticing”. LOL We get deer in our yard sometimes. There are holes and rubbed bark everywhere… yet we hardly ever actually see them.

The picture is actually from my backyard. 🙂 I was out yesterday raking up leaves and noticed my favorite mossy spots were messed up by deer tracks.
